Upon joining the Y, the joiner’s fee and first month’s payment are due, prorated based on the date you join. Your membership dues can be paid in one of two ways:
 
Monthly: Automatically pay electronically through your checking account or credit card.
Annual: Pay for an entire year by cash, check or credit card.
 

Membership Categories

The Family YMCA of NW IL offers several membership categories to meet the needs of our community.

Family: Married couple and children at home under 24, includes: children, supported by parents, who are 23 years and full-time students (must carry 12+ credit hours), foster children, exchange students

Single Parent Family: single, widowed or divorced adutlt with dependent children (same criteria as above)

Plus: Adult membership with Fitness Center locker room access, all other family members in regular locker rooms

Plus I: Family membership, one person (husband or wife) with Fitness Center locker room access, all other family members in regular locker rooms

Plus II: Family membership, two people (husband and wife) with Fitness Center locker room access, all other family members in regular locker rooms

Adult: 18+ years, no longer in high school or a full-time college student

Retiree: 60+ years and not employed full-time

Retired Couple: Married couple with one spouse 60+, neither employed full-time

Student: 7th-12th grade, full-time college students (12+ credit hours, not employed full-time), G.E.D. students must be 23 years or less and not employed full-time

Youth: 6th grade and under

Plus Membership Includes: Whirlpool, sauna, assigned locker, padlock, towel service, carpeted locker room, hair dryers, body wash, shampoo, telephone, television and a little extra privacy. Children ages 4 and under are allowed in the Fitness Center locker room with a parent.

Financial Assistance Statement
YMCA financial assistance will be awarded upon the available resources of the Association. Financial assistance and scholarships are obtained through a confidential application process.\

 

Guest Pass Policy

Effective August 1, 2011

As a membership organization the Family YMCA of Northwest Illinois recognizes the vital importance of a strong membership base to maintain the work of the Association.  The YMCA does, however, provide non-members access to the facility on a limited basis as a service to current members.

The following outlines the YMCA's policies regarding guest usage:              

GUEST PASS FEES Family (immediate blood relatives) $20.00
  Individuals (8th grade - adult)  $12.00
  Youth (7th grade and under) $  7.00

TIMES:  The YMCA reserves the right to deny guest usage at any time the facility is scheduled to capacity.  Guest Passes are available during regular YMCA hours with the following exceptions:

* Saturday, limited access pool/lower level (8th grade and older)

* Sunday, after 2:00 PM only                       

YOUTH HOURS:  Youth 6th grade and under must be accompanied by a parent or YMCA adult member to be in the facility after 7:00 PM.  Exceptions will be made for those attending YMCA classes.                

YOUTH POLICY:  All YMCA members 7th grade and older are permitted use of the   lower level facilities.  7th grader must take a Youth Strength Training class before using the lower level.                                         

PROCEDURE:  Guests must check in at Business Office, purchase pass and sign name and phone number on the back of the receipt.  A valid photo ID is required for purchasing a guest pass.

AWAY:  Current YMCA members in other Associations will be given free usage of the YMCA - excluding the Fitness Centers.
