Swimming Lessons

Swim Lessons

Classes are divided into groups based on ability and completion of prerequisites. Each session is 7 lessons in length.

Parent-Child Aquatics 

Age 6 months to 3 years         

Saturdays, 9:15-9:45 am
 
Parents accompany the child during these lessons.  Skills are introduced to familiarize the students with the water and teach swimming readiness skills.   Parents are taught various supports and holds to encourage their child’s development in the water. 
 

PreSchool Lessons

Preschool Lessons – Age 3 to 5 (without parents)

Water Acclimation:

Increases comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance

Water Movment:

Encourages forward movement in water and basic self-rescue skills performed independently

Water Stamina:

Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances than in previous stages

 

Youth Lessons

Age 6+

Stroke Introduction:

Introduces basic stroke technique in front and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke

Stroke Development:

Introduces basic stroke technique in front and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke

Stroke Mechanics:

Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle

 

Private Swimming Lessons

Open to all ages, available upon request. Call for instuctor availability and fees.
